This was taken from the Sierra Vista Unified School District webpage:  Student safety is our top priority and due to that we find it necessary to inform you of an incident that occurred at Village Meadows elementary this afternoon. A white van having a multicolor swirl pattern on its side parked next to the Village Meadows School campus and a man exited the van and began taking pictures in the direction of the school grounds. When a staff member moved toward the van, the man got back in his car and drove away. Since he was not on school grounds, he has done nothing illegal but it caused the staff and students concern. The incident was reported to Sierra Vista Police as a precautionary measure. Even though there has been no illegal activity, we would still like to speak with this gentleman and let him know of the inappropriateness of his actions. If you see any suspicious activity in your neighborhood or as you travel to and from your child’s school, we ask that you contact the Sierra Vista Police at 458-3311. We will continue to work together for the safety and health of our community’s children.
